Iron Savior, A Power Metal Champion

With a distinct voice, singing of technology, robots, space, battles and more, Iron Savior doesn't seem like your typical Power Metal band, but they certainly make up for it with their epic guitar riffs, distinct and talented vocals, creative lyrics, and skilled drummer to boot.

This song, Tyranny of Steel, demonstrates perfectly all of the above. The song, complete with lyrics on the video, shows how creative the band can be with ideas. The band had it planned as to tell a long tale throughout several albums, in which a sci-fi story unfolds, as the band members are crew members on a sentient space ship, called Iron Savior. When I sit at my computer or in my car listening to them, and hear these songs, I become so involved in the song, Its easy to lose track of what I was doing.

Iron Savior is good about varying their songs, and not recycling sounds, like one can hear when listening to Dragonforce (I still like them though...). From all the albums they have put out over the years, they haven't changed a bit, and I thank them for keeping their amazing sound for all to hear. In the entire course of the band's history, I only have 1 or 2 songs that I don't like, because they're slow acoustic songs, almost ballads, atypical of a power metal band. Other than that, they are absolutely my favorite band to listen to. Period. I would sell my left leg to see them in concert here in California some time. All in all, an amazing band, a must for all metal fans. Hit up Itunes or Amazon and support them, or check out their music on Youtube.
